Life does get better.

Hi!

l think its a good idea to write a update because the last one is not exactly a great end point.

lt has been almost four years since l rode into Queen's. So much has happened in the meantime. l travelled all over the world for about a year spaced over three summers. l launched a small start up! l won awards. l did a TEDx talk. l speak regularly and run workshops for different groups. l have been on three board of directors for different NGOs and charities. l am still a varsity athlete (racing in New Jersey in 5 days). l am on the Dean's list ( which is a big accomplishment for me personally because l really questioned whether my brain still worked after the accident). l biked New Zealand for fun with just a racebike and very little gear. l climbed a 6000m plus mountain in Bolivia. l was the senior therapist for the Varsity soccer team here at Queen's. l have a snapchat cooking show called Beaufood where l promote healthy eating (more of a joke to 20 people than anything). l absolutely adore surfing and l still haven't managed to lock in a girlfriend (LOL).

l am pretty different but despite the major setback l had in first year and the challenges l faced on the ride l am normal for the most part.

l wanted to write that because l left this important series of posts off on a kind of a sad note. Things do get better with time. l had eye surgery in September and now can read a bit easier than before! The ride was the biggest experience l have done, mainly because l was so young when l started and l think back to some of those tough long days often. l am so thankful to have that experience and to have survived.

The future is incredibly unpredictable and exciting right now. l am graduating in a few months and will be starting a business and hopefully writing the MCAT as well. l could end up in the Cook islands working as their first kinesiologist or l could be in Toronto working in a think tank or l could be living in a van by some stretch of beach. Safe to say a lot is up in the air.

l am going to leave things off here but will post some ways to stay in touch.

l write regular stories on a website about experiences and ideas l have. Recently l wrote one of speaking in the house of Commons in a mock parliament and privilege's role in success.

Here is the link to that. http://cowbird.com/search/stories/most-loved/?q=Adam%20Beaudoin

l performed a TEDx talk about the ride and my brain injury and how they are both equally valuable. İt is very applicable to your life and l have received only positive feedback so far.

Here is the link to the TEDx talk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U07vzxNcc9M

my email is beaudoin.adam@gmail.com

lf you ever want to chat about anything please reach out. l really believe in that. Just send an email!

l am currently based near Toronto but my home will always be the west coast.

Thanks for reading and following along,

What a life it has already been!

Love,

Adam
